Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of matbord, a menu management service operated by Erika Willis, c/o flexdienst – #20489, Kurt-Schumacher-Straße 76, 67663 Kaiserslautern, Germany. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. Service description

matbord lets restaurant owners upload menu photos, extract text using AI, and publish menus to their website via an embeddable widget. The service includes a web dashboard, WhatsApp integration (on paid plans), and multi-language support.

3. Account

You need an account to use matbord. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per restaurant. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the restaurant.

4. Free trial and plans

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access to paid features. After the trial, you choose a plan. The Free plan is available indefinitely with limited features. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days notice.

5. Cancellation

All paid plans are month-to-month. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

6. Your content

You own the menu content you upload. By using matbord, you grant us a limited license to process, store, display, and translate your content for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your content for training AI models.

7. AI-generated content

Menu text extracted by AI may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before publishing. matbord is not liable for inaccuracies in AI-extracted menu content that you publish.

8. Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. We are not liable for damages caused by temporary unavailability.

9. Liability

matbord is provided “as is.” Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue, or third-party claims arising from your use of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. The courts of Munich (München), Germany have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes arising from these terms.
